On Wednesday 5th November Key Stage 2 went to the Crematorium for a Remembrance Service.
Over the course of 3 week, 13 different Year 5 and 6 children partook in cross country running at the Mere’s Leisure Centre. The event was open to a variety of different Year 5 and 6’s across Grantham, with over 200 children participating.
Over the course of the 3 weeks all the children saw themselves improve their running skills and they all showed great determination to finish as high a possible.
Well done to all of you who took part and thank you parents for your support.
Today, Years 5 & 6 were fortunate enough to visit St Andrew’s Church to see their ‘Sea of Poppies’ display as part of the Heckington 100 project, which is being done to mark the centenary of the First World War. This unique display of poppies, for Remembrance Sunday, contains over 18,000 knitted poppies, which have been handcrafted by people across Lincolnshire and around the world.

Whole school memorial to the World War One Centenary 1918-2018.
Children and staff came to school dressed as their favourite rock or pop stars for Children in Need today. There were some wonderful glittery outfits and cool dudes. Well done everyone!
As we approach the end of the Autumn term, we thought it might be useful for you to have a copy of the Christmas Cheat Sheet we shared on Twitter and Class Dojo. We hope it is useful!
Our annual Christingle Service at St Anne’s Church always provides one of the loveliest sights each year and this year was no exception.
