As part of our science week activities, Mrs Hedley arranged a Zoom chat with one of our St Anne’s pupil’s family member in Canada. Colin has worked as a veterinary technician and has enjoyed an interesting Science-based career so far.
Year 2 and Key Stage 2 took part in live online events alongside other schools this week as part of Science Week. Hosted by farmer Fiona Wilshaw and farm vet Dr Claire Whittle, the children delved into British food and farming, and explored key STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects through a real-life farming context.
We are celebrating Science Week at St Anne’s this week and have an action packed calendar of events for all children to celebrate Science careers and the wonders of the world. Today, we have kick-started our week with a visit from a former pupil who is now an Astrophysicist.
We’ve had a great day celebrating world book day.
Today we celebrated World Thinking Day.
Year 6 invited the rest of the school to view their creative art installations.
‘The Boy, The Mole, The Fox & the Horse’ by Charlie Mackesy was our starting point from some amazing wellbeing discussions in school.
St Anne’s took part in the annual Rotary Swimarathon.
We held our annual Open Morning for parents to join in with the children’s learning.
