HEADTEACHER’S WELCOME

I am very proud to be the Headteacher of St Anne’s CE Primary School which has firm foundations in our Christian values of Compassion, Curiosity and Confidence. We are a family school who value knowing our children and families well and ensuring that everyone feels that they belong. Establishing safe and supportive learning environments and warm relationships is key to our vision.

We are a truly inclusive school and offer all our pupils a specified, structured knowledge-rich curriculum, which is bespoke to St Anne’s and carefully designed to meet the needs of our particular context. Our curriculum is designed to develop and embed our values of Compassion, Curiosity and Confidence.

Our school community is rich in its diversity, which we highly value. Our pupils speak over 25 languages which we celebrate. We foster an international ethos throughout our school and are committed to embedding international awareness.

We engage in collaborative work with our international partnership schools. We have a partnership with the Gruner Campus Malchow Schule in Berlin (facilitated by the UK-German Connections organisation). We have also just begun a guided partnership (through the British Council) with the Zhukivtsi Gymnasium in Ukraine, focusing on Reading for Pleasure as part of the 100-year anniversary of the relationship between the UK and Ukraine. We have also just been awarded International School Intermediate Award. More information can be found in the ‘International Partnerships’ section of our website.

We work very closely with our local community, including St Anne’s Church, local school clusters and local sports providers such as Inspire+ and Grantham Athletics Club.

We offer a wide-range of extra-curricular provision both during the school day and as after-school clubs – all of which are free for any pupils in receipt of Pupil Premium funding. These are provided by a range of external providers as well as school staff. We ensure that all pupils have access to at least two after-school club places per term. More information can be found in the ‘Extra-Curricular’ section of our website.

We are very proud to have been chosen by the DfE to run an Early Adopter Universal Free Breakfast Club. This means that all our pupils have access to a free breakfast club place from 8:10am every day.

Our school dog Bina is a regular visitor, who the children love to greet and spend time with. She teaches us all the meaning of compassion.

We regularly update our social media page on Instagram @stannesschoolgrantham Please follow us to keep up to date.

If I can help you in any further matter, then do not hesitate to contact me. I look forward to meeting you and working together for the benefit of your child.
