Ofsted Inspection Report

Ofsted Inspection Report

On behalf of the St Anne's staff team, I am delighted to share our Ofsted report with you. As we always say, educating your children is very much a home/school partnership so thank you for all of your support in helping us to be recognised as a school community with 'a strong sense of togetherness' with parents and carers who 'hold the school in high regard.'

The outcome of our Ofsted inspection is that 'St Anne's Church of England Primary School continues to be a good school.' Furthermore, the inspector, Mr Martyn Skinner, in his feedback to our senior leadership team, governors and local authority representative, made it very clear that our school sits comfortably within the top tier of good.

The report states that our school 'is a well-led school' and 'staff take great care to meet the needs of all pupils.' The report compliments our 'ambitious curriculum' and rightly references the 'enthusiasm and skill' demonstrated by the teachers.

Mr Skinner spent much of his time in the classrooms, playgrounds and talking with small groups of children who he states, 'are friendly and courteous' and 'talk with understanding and maturity'. The report recognises that 'pupils enjoy positive relationships with adults' and that 'their enthusiasm extends across the curriculum.' The children truly are a credit to themselves, your families and our school.

Please take the time to read the attached report and be assured that, as well as celebrating our successes, we are continuing to work hard to improve our teaching and learning in Mathematics as suggested as our only target for improvement.

The report concludes, 'this is a school which knows itself well' and has 'a clear vision for future priorities.' It is an exciting time to be part of the St Anne's community and I am extremely proud of the hard work, dedication and achievements of the staff, governors and children.

Again, thank you for your partnership and support.

Kindest Regards,

Natalie Slight
