Indian Experience Day
St. Anne's were lucky enough to have a special visitor in school today. Sunita from The Indian Experience came to teach Year 3 and 4 about the Hindu religion as well as presenting a Whole School Assembly when she told the children the amazing story of Rama and Sita and explained the reasons behind the festival of Diwali.
Year 3 were then lucky enough to dress up in Indian costume and try out some Bollywood dance moves as well as being taught about the main beliefs within the Hindu religion.
Year 4 followed on in the afternoon by creating some beautiful Rangoli artwork using chalk and stencils as well as topping up their Hinduism knowledge.
The children thoroughly enjoyed participating in all of the activities and have enhanced their understanding of the Hindu region.
