Grimsthorpe Castle Country Living Day
Year 2 and 3 visited Grimsthorpe Castle today for an amazing free outdoor education day experiencing activities that showcase everyday life on a countryside estate. The aim of the day was for the children to enjoy and appreciate the countryside while having a greater understanding of the wide range of issues surrounding it. We were so happy that the sun was shining so that we could enjoy and learn from activities such as; grooming horses, exploring the kitchen garden, learning about game keeping, forestry and stone masonry. We also had enough time for a picnic in the beautiful grounds and a play in the adventure playground. Great times!
