World Book Day
On Thursday 8th March, we (finally) celebrated World Book Day, after last week's planned day had to be postponed due to the snow!
We all enjoyed wearing pyjamas to school as we spent the day sharing stories together and even got to enjoy a delicious hot chocolate. During the day, the older classes paired up with the younger children to read stories together.
This week we have also enjoyed having the Book Fair in school, giving us the chance to browse and buy some wonderful books before and after school.
Finally, we have announced the winners of our 'Extreme Reading' competition. Mr Austin had a really tricky decision as there were so many brilliant, imaginative and creative entries showing St Anne's children reading in unusual places. Congratulations to our winners who received a £5 voucher to buy a book at the Book Fair.
We have had a great day celebrating World Book Day- we really do love books and reading here at St Anne's!
