We are celebrating Science Week at St Anne’s this week and have an action packed calendar of events for all children to celebrate Science careers and the wonders of the world. Today, we have kick-started our week with a visit from a former pupil who is now an Astrophysicist.
Today we welcomed Mr Adby from Partake History to lead an Ancient Egyptian themed day.
As part of our science week activities, Mrs Hedley arranged a Zoom chat with one of our St Anne’s pupil’s family member in Canada. Colin has worked as a veterinary technician and has enjoyed an interesting Science-based career so far.
As a finale to our Science Week, the whole school were treated to a fabulous experience today with a visit from the ‘Wonderdome’ Planetarium.
Year 2 and Key Stage 2 took part in live online events alongside other schools this week as part of Science Week. Hosted by farmer Fiona Wilshaw and farm vet Dr Claire Whittle, the children delved into British food and farming, and explored key STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) subjects through a real-life farming context.
St Anne’s Primary School dressed up and told jokes in aid of Comic Relief.

The School Council hosted the St Anne’s Bake Sale today to raise funds for the school. The yummy cakes were extremely popular and raises lots of money for our school funds.
The children across the school enjoyed workshops today presented by the Lincolnshire Road Safety Partnership.
